The publication introduces into scientific circulation letters of Yu. N. Barteneva to Prince P.A. Vyazemsky, which had not been published before. In the accompanying article is given a brief description of literary relations of Vyazemsky and Bartenev, which is a description of the contexts that connected correspondents in 1820s, which is the majority of the twelve letters published. The multiplicity of these contexts is not fully covered, and this article is only one of the initial stages in establishing and describing literary contacts Bartenev, whose letters, pointing to the topic “P.A. Vyazemsky and Yu. N. Bartenev” set a vector for studying such little-known topics as “V.A. Zhukovsky and Yu. N. Bartenev”, “A.S. Pushkin and Yu. N. Bartenev”.
