In the article we analyse the theoretical heritage of the russian philosopher and publicist V. Rozanov. Though phylosophical and religious ideas of the thinker are the well-known ones, we pay special attention to his sociopolitical views.
We also make the conclusion that despite all the antinomy and singularity of Rozanov's ideas and style, they are organically connected with an epoch and in many aspects are caused by cultural historical context of the country's development at the end of XIX – the beginning of XX centuries.
