L.N. Tolstoy’s, I.A. Bunin’s, J. Joyce’s art is considered mainly in the context of the question of their relationship to Realism and Modernism, as well as Sentimentalism. The principles of artistic anthropology of three authors as well as their assessment of individual and collective consciousness, memory, etc. are compared.
